Life Back to Normal (such as it is)

I am enjoying my clean, neat studio tonight, still with the display up from last weekend, the Studio Tour weekend. I don't want to mess it up, so I have not minded working on paperwork and translations this week. I don't mind staying out of our house either: Last night our puppy got into it with a skunk! I have never had that particular experience before, so as soon as we got home from our walk, I put him in his outdoor pen, and I got on Google and found a recipe for getting rid of skunk smell. It was midnight, so I had to go to Wal-Mart to get 2 quarts of hydrogen peroxide to mix with baking soda and dishwashing liquid, and then I rubbed it all over him, before I dragged him through the house and rinsed him off in the bathtub. By 1:30 a.m. I was done, and I couldn't tell if it worked, because the house reeked so bad too. I escaped upstairs to go to bed and left him alone downstairs for the night. Today I got Skunk-off, and I think it worked pretty well. The house still stinks, though. I am going to put slices of onions all over – it's supposed to work!

I may not do any more skunks for a while on my pots. Or maybe I should. Now that I have personal experience with one of them.

I am feeling the yearning to get my hands back in the clay, but first I have to photograph the pieces I have left and post them on Etsy. It will take a couple of days, but I hope that Monday will be the day that I can get the wheel going again.
